Remember the Past?…The bond between father and child is key to every child. You remember playing games with your father on weekends, fishing, playing catch and going out for ice cream.
Now it is your opportunity to build that relationship with your child. Keep the belief alive for them that you are the best man in the world.
Children often think their dads are always too busy with work and providing for the family. The Y-Guides and Y-Princesses Programs make it fun and easy for dads and their children to play and learn together.
Ready To Build A Future?
Create your own miracle moments!
Father/daughter pairs join the Y-Princesses program while father/son pairs participate in the Y-Guides Program. The program is available to families with children from kindergarten to third grade. This is the ideal time to establish a solid foundation for a life-long relationship.
Each father/child pair is placed into a tribe consisting of about 7-10 pairs. Tribes try to be organized according to proximity to each other. The neighborhood band meets once a month at a member’s home. The host of that meeting and other dads plan activities including games, crafts, stories and feather-earning. The band nation will also arrange for outings outside the home, such as field days, street hockey tournaments, hiking, Princess Valentine’s Dance, cookouts, and fall and spring overnight outings at various camp sites. The larger outings allow for all the tribes to come together as a larger group nation.
