The Chapel Hill – Carrboro YMCA does not turn anyone away on the basis of inability to pay for a membership. Those who are unable to pay full fees may receive financial assistance through our Open Doors Scholarship Program. Scholarships are based on a sliding scale of income. Scholarships may be awarded based upon demonstrated ability to pay, the YMCA’s ability to fund such subsidies, and the amount of space available.
