What is Child Watch?
The purpose of Child Watch is to provide on-site care for members with Full Memberships. Children 2 weeks-5 years of age are welcome in order to allow their parents more freedom to use the YMCA facilities. Responsible adults that are trained to provide the highest level of care for your children staff Child Watch.
Sign In/Out Procedure
Children must be signed in and out of Child Watch. It is extremely important that we keep an accurate account of the children in our care. The individual who drops off the child must be the same person to pick up the child. Please make sure your child’s bag and/or belongings are clearly marked with his or her name. Your children have the opportunity to stay in Child Watch up to 1-1/2 hours per day. |
Food, Drink and Supplies
Please feed your children before coming to Child Watch. We are not able to feed children as part of our routine. Baby bottles, which are pre-made and labeled with your child’s name, are allowed as needed. There is not a refrigerator or microwave available and we cannot open bottles for any reason. Diapering and potty training children should arrive with clean diapers and wipes. Due to OSHA regulations, children in cloth diapers cannot be accepted.
The following standards will be strictly enforced to ensure that all children and staff are kept as protected as we can from communicable disease. Children with the following physical symptoms will not be accepted into Child Watch:
* Runny nose that is cloudy
* Fever of any grade |
