Scholarships
Nobody is turned away at the Y. Financial assistance made possible by private and public support as well as YMCA members makes a healthy lifestyle available for everyone. As a non-profit organization, we rely on donor support to help our financial assistance programs.

Meadowmont Plus Memberships
Members of the Y (with the exception of Youth & Teen members) can add access to the YMCA at Meadowmont all summer long for a one-time fee of $250, no matter how many people are on the membership. Membership to the YMCA at Meadowmont is also available as a stand-alone summer membership for $550 per membership, no matter how many people are on the membership. Fees may be paid at the time of purchase or in two installments (a $5 per installment processing fee is added). NEW THIS YEAR, TUESDAY & THURSDAY MEMBER ONLY DAYS!

Chapel Hill Branch Membership Descriptions
Family Memberships are for married couples or registered domestic partners living in the same household with children related by birth, marriage or adoption up to age 18, or through 22 if the children are still in college full-time.
Single Parent Family Memberships are for families with the same definition as above, but with only one parent in the household.
Couples Memberships are available for married couples or registered domestic partners.
College Student Memberships are for students who are in college full-time and can provide a copy of their class schedule.
Adult Memberships provide benefits to one person only.
Senior Citizen Memberships are available for individuals age 60 & over.
Senior Couple Memberships are available for married couples or registered domestic partners as long as at least one person is at least 60 years old.
Youth Memberships are available for individuals through High School.
We strive to be a place for people of all ages to come. That’s why we provide our Child Watch area for kids ages 6 weeks to 5 years of age. Bring your children to Child Watch while you work out. Our center is staffed by qualified and loving helpers who will care for and play with your children!
Child Watch 2 is held Monday-Thursday evenings from for children 6-11 years old. We will assist them with homework, play board games & cards, and lead arts and craft projects. Children are welcome to bring hand held video games if desired.

Monday – Thursday, 6:30 – 8:30 pm

Guest Policy
Members may bring one guest per visit. Authorized guests are welcome at a $10 charge for each visit. Guests must be with a current member at all times. We are proud to welcome visiting members of other YMCAs under the AWAY program. Please see the front desk for more information.
AWAY Program
The Chapel Hill – Carrboro YMCA is a part of the YMCA of the USA “AWAY” Program which allows Y members to use Y facilities across the nation. The CHCYMCA allows members of other YMCAs to use our facilities 3 times per calendar month for free. A valid Y membership card and ID is required when visiting our YMCA.
Financial Assistance
The YMCA exists to promote the healthy development of all kids and their families regardless of their financial means. Financial assistance is granted based on the need demonstrated by household income and/or extenuating circumstances. Applicants are required to pay a portion of the program or membership fee for which they are requesting assistance. This contribution by the applicant demonstrates a desire and commitment to participate. To learn more, please click here.
