The Chatham YMCAs mission is To strengthen the spirit, mind, and body of all people in this community through effective programs, strong leadership, and healthy practices based on Judeo-Christian values. Each day, through programs for all ages, in our fitness center and in partnership with other community agencies, we look for new ways to offer this strength to all people in the community.
The YMCA is founded on three key areas of focus: Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility. It is our belief that these areas of focus should stand clear in everything we do. So, in our kids programs, in our fitness classes, in every interaction we have, we live these ideas. Not just words, they are the standards by which we live.
Ages: Rising Kindergartners – Rising 8th Graders
At the Y, we believe that all kids deserve the chance to discover who they are and what they can achieve. That’s why every summer our camps open up to create exciting, safe communities where young people can explore the outdoors, discover new experiences, and build self esteem and social and interpersonal skills. Through outdoor activities, arts programs, youth sports, science experiments and more, kids in our community are learning about themselves and making new friends at Y Day Camp. And while they’re at it, they discover skills and values they can use for a lifetime; skills like teamwork, responsibility, respect and sharing.

Through guided play, children learn to respect themselves and others, work out their differences and discover the value of true friendship. Academic support from caring role models enriches your child’s educational experience and enables families to spend more quality time together.
