Chapel Hill-Carrboro
Youth
Here at the Y, we offer an outstanding variety of programs designed to encourage children to grow to their full potential by exposing them to games, arts and crafts, music, and much more. By learning about themselves and others, they learn vital life skills and avenues of expression that they might have otherwise overlooked. Help your child reach his or her full potential by participating in some of the many classes at the YMCA.
Summer Camp
At the Y, we believe that all kids deserve the chance to discover who they are and what they can achieve. That’s why every summer our camps open up to create exciting, safe communities where young people can explore the outdoors, discover new experiences, and build self esteem and social and interpersonal skills. Through outdoor activities, arts programs, youth sports, service projects and more, kids in our community are learning about themselves and making new friends at Y Day Camp. And while they’re at it, they discover skills and values they can use for a lifetime; skills like teamwork, responsibility, respect and sharing.

Y-Guides & Y-Princesses
Ages: Kindergarten – 3rd Grade
Children often think their dads are always too busy with work and providing for the family. The Y-Guides and Y-Princesses Programs make it fun and easy for dads and their children to play and learn together. Father/daughter pairs join the Y-Princesses program while father/son pairs participate in the Y-Guides program. Each father/child pair is placed into a tribe, which meets once a month at a member’s home. The host of that meeting and other dads plan activities including games, crafts, stories and feather-earning as well as outings outside the home, like camping and field trips.
