Grab your friends and put together your team of 2 – 4 people. Score points by working out together and get bonus points by trying new workouts and classes. You can even score a 3-point buzzer beater by taking part in special challenges emailed to your inbox.
Keep track of your 4-week score on our Challenge Board in the wellness area and if your team scores at least 15 points, you’ll score an awesome t-shirt.

At the Y, we believe the ability to swim is a critical life skill for everyone. In swim lessons, we use a variety of fun methods to help kids overcome fears, build confidence in the water and develop skills that last a lifetime. Qualified instructors meet swimmers at their own level and celebrate all successes. By educating and partnering with swimmers, we’re determined to prevent drowning in our community.

At the Y, we believe that all kids deserve the chance to discover who they are and what they can achieve. That’s why every summer our camps open up to create exciting, safe communities where young people can explore the outdoors, discover new experiences, and build self esteem and social and interpersonal skills.
Through outdoor activities, arts programs, youth sports, service projects and more, kids in our community are learning about themselves and making new friends at Y Day Camp. And while they’re at it, they discover skills and values they can use for a lifetime; skills like teamwork, responsibility, respect and sharing.

The Y offers Lifeguard Certification by the American Red Cross. Once participants successfully complete this training, they will be certified as Lifeguards and be ready to perform those duties.

The purpose of this course is to help participants achieve recertification in Lifeguard Training without having to take the full content course. This review course includes First Aid and CPR for the Professional Rescuer.

The YMCA Y Guides program focuses on strengthening the father-child relationship through activities that allow fathers to spend quality one-on-one time with their children. It’s through these shared experiences that fathers and their children grow closer and form memories that will last a lifetime. That being said, Dads, no gift you ever give your son or daughter will mean as much as the time you spend with him or her. And you’ll soon discover that you treasure those special moments as well.
Y Guides is for boys and girls in rising grades 1 – 3 and their dads. Tribes are composed of seven to nine father/child pairs and meet twice a month. One meeting is in a member’s home and the other is a fun outing in the community. Children receive feather awards and patches for their accomplishments. Upon reaching fourth grade, Little Braves and Princesses may continue in our Trailblazers Program. Tribes are encouraged to meet at least once a quarter and participate in group outings through the year.

At the Y, we believe that all kids deserve the opportunity to discover who they are and what they can achieve. And that’s what Y Afterschool is all about. We’re dedicated to creating a safe, nurturing environment for children to learn, grow and develop social skills. Our afterschool program serves all of the Chapel Hill – Carrboro City Schools from Kindergarten through 8th grade. It includes free time, structured physical activities and crafts, and supervised school work time.
Members: $2,430 per year

TRX Suspension straps use your body weight to provide resistance. There are hundreds of moves that can be performed in TRX that hit every muscle group of the body. This 6-week class features the latest in strength training technology. Each small 4 participant class offers individual attention by a certified personal trainer.

Young soccer players are introduced to the fundamentals of the game in our Soccer league. Players are led by Y volunteers in drills and games that teach the basic offensive and defensive skills and positions of soccer.
