Specialty Classes - call for current offerings!
 

Mini-Me Surf 'n' Turf - This is an active adult/child participation class that is designed to develop child motor skills, while having fun.   It promotes physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of ages 18-36 months.  Our “turf” program includes movement, music, gymnastics, exercise and most important, having fun.   Our “surf” program will include parent/child “tracking of toys, arm and leg movements, blowing bubbles, using flotation safely, safety tips and techniques, and of course, songs/play.  We believe moving bodies lead to creative minds.

Women on Weights - This class is for female participants that are 16 years of age and older. It is designed to educate women on the proper use of fitness equipment. Sessions will run in four-week increments. Classes must have at least 4 participants and are limited to 10 participants. Please warm up prior to class.

Latin Dance Workshop - If you are interested in learning the art of Latin Dances such as Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, Cha cha cha, Cumbia, Vallenato, Samba, Axe, Bossa Nova, Punta, Regueton and more, this is your workshop. We will be offering this specialty class for 5 weeks to members ages 16 and older.

Belly Dancing - If you are interested in learning the art of belly dancing, this class is for you. We will be offering this specialty class various times throughout they year. This class is open to participants ages 16 and older. All belly dancing classes must have at least 8 participants to be offered.

Gentle Yoga - Incorporates a gentle cardiovascular session with stretching, toning, strengthening and relaxation exercises. Class is structured to meet all levels of fitness with the goal of decreasing common pregnancy discomforts, enhancing the physical process of labor and delivery, and facilitating recovery.

Yang Tai Chi - This is a class that focuses on an ancient martial arts system which is known for its emphasis on internal energy, relying on timing, relaxation and focus rather than muscle power. Benefits include increased balance, coordination, flexibility, improved circulation and is proven to reduce stress if practiced daily. Sessions will run in five-week increments and are open to participants 16 years and older. Classes must have at least 8 participants to be held.

Modern/Hip Hop Dance - This is a fun, high energy class where we build strength, flexibility, endurance and coordination. The class begins with a basic warm-up to stretch and tone the body followed by an athletic dance routine that combines modern dance and hip hop. We will be offering this specialty class various times throughout they year. This class is open to participants ages 13 and older. Classes must have at least 8 participants to be offered.
