2008 STRONG KIDS CAMPAIGN
At the YMCA, one of our most important goals has always been to enrich the
lives of kids in our community. When some are left out, it leaves us all a bit incomplete.
That’s because providing kids with a safe and nurturing environment benefits
everyone. By introducing them to experiences that will help them grow into responsible,
successful adults, we make the community we love a better place to live. One child at
time. One family at a time.
YMCA programs teach young people important values such as caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Through a variety of fun and rewarding activities, they
develop valuable skills while they gain confidence and self-esteem. You simply cannot
put a price on strengthening and enriching the character of a child.
YOUR CONTRIBUTION HELPS MAKE IT HAPPEN.
To ensure that no one is denied a chance to participate because of the
inability to pay, we need your help. Through the 2007 YMCA Strong Kids Campaign,
your contributions of $53,000 on a goal of $45,000 helped the YMCA provide program
support and financial assistance to families who are in need in our community. By
working together, we can give more kids the opportunity to grow strong in spirit, mind,
and body.
BIG GOALS TO MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE.
This year’s Strong Kids Campaign is launched with a goal of raising $55,000. We hope that you will contribute generously so that more kids and more families in our
community can share the YMCA experience.
